Photographing families...it's what I love to do. I have been photographing children and their families in the Philadelphia area for over 8 years. With each new session the passion I have for my work continues to grow. As you look through my images it is my wish that you can share in the same joy that it brings me.

For those who have been following my blog for the last 3 years have read the entries about my son Nick leaving for college. I post them every year around this time. Some entries were more pathetic than others. I have to admit...it has gotten easier since he first left for school. The first year I was a serious mess. He chose a terrific school that was close enough to home yet far enough away, thus making it impossible for me to show up every Sunday afternoon with a pan of lasagna.
He has had an amazing college experience. He has made lifelong friends.. "his brothers", he has traveled the world, and through his time abroad has developed a great love and compassion for those who are suffering and have difficult circumstances.
His goal is to be able work with sick children in hospitals. A fitting match for him I believe.

So excited to post these images of this beautiful family. I was planning to post them all in black and white but fell in love with the color as well. The session was just lovely...this little family so excited about the birth of a new baby. The time I was able to spend with them was extra special.
After today's session I plopped into my big chair in the studio and thought about how much I love what I do. Photography has been a part of my life for a long time. Way before the digital camera came along. Through the ups and downs of life my camera has always been right there providing an opportunity for me to express myself. Here of late there has been a lot of stress going on...some crisis, big life decisions, health issues, family stuff. Seems like it has been a year of trials of some sort or another. I am so grateful for this camera and the creative expression it allows me to have. I just don't take photos...I am honestly inspired by the beauty of people. I am not into photography trends or what everyone else is doing, in fact I do everything I can to be different. What you see in my work is really a part of me and how I see the world. Each session different and unique, just like my clients..the tiny ones to the big ones.
Special thank you to my clients (many who have become my friends). Thank you for allowing me to document your lives....thank you for allowing me to grow in my art.
